I was very happy with my Aspire One. I've just registered with Ubuntu, and everything "just works" after updating the BIOS of Aspire. This little jewel is true for all my appointments, to and from work, and I use it whenever the mood strikes me, without worrying about batteries running out, even with high brightness and Wi-Fi at any time . My only recommendation: if you want to watch video / Hulu / etc setup, go ahead and buy a bar of 2 GB of RAM (which is $ 25), you would like it if you want video playback. Overall, excellent product!

With so many types of netbooks available today, it just means that competition between brands and models will be harder, and the process of selecting the best netbook is a challenging task. My netbook just arrived today, and so far I like it. My old laptop with a battery of 12 cells, and weighed a ton, so for me it is a fantastic change, a change that was necessary, as an undergraduate, which is often carried out 1-2 books, notebooks, calculator, etc. My only complaint true measure backspace. Still the + / = key place. I am sure that you get used to, but.

This machine was absent from the Amazon and the XP disk backup software Samsung is halfway to a DVD with an external disk. Half an hour with the support webchat Samsung and now they are mailing me a backup disk of XP.

Now I have a machine that does not work - is terribly slow, even after updating 1.2 gigs of RAM, crashes Open Office is a program running some ghost that can not be detained in custody, has difficulty waking up and assorted annoying problems are added to the box from the worst computing experience I had after buying a Dell over a decade ago.

Acer Aspire AO721-3574 11.6-Inch Netbook (Mesh Black) Review

I also have an Acer Timeline 11.6 (T1810) that has a smooth, gloss cover surface. Got the one being rated here for my mom… Sure wish mine had the same cover texture! No finger prints show on her’s, while mine’s always needing to be wiped down!

After 6 days of waiting, I got this unit from J & R this afternoon. Soon after I turned a hard very sensitive sound comes out. In two hours, are very possit I come back to cause the constant noise drives me crazy.
When I say significantly, I mean that I can use my cell phone noise and Replay, and my TV is on.

11.6 This screen is really nice and bright, love it. Do not life bettery on this point. Machine seems slow.

Absolutely love this netbook. Immediately upgraded to 2 GB of RAM, and was impressed by the speed and battery life. I bought it for several months of international traffic was light, had long battery life, and I would do with Skype family and friends from afar (and watch movies on long flights, train and bus). They have done all these things very well. Know that when companies report the weight of the Netbook, but I feel netbook, no power cord, which probably added another book due to the converter and cables of great thickness. If you're traveling, you have to carry around too, so just be prepared.

Pros: The video and graphics are lightyears ahead of the competition for a netbook for this price. Played back 720p on YouTube with no problem. Played back 1080p video files with not a hiccup. It comes with an HDMI out and three USB outs.
