Great little netbook with a full size keyboard. Very satisfied with it except for the 6-cell battery. While it does last a good long time, it protrudes out the back of the computer by about an inch. This is not apparent from any of the photos I saw. I’m sure I will get used to it but it does sort of detract from its otherwise svelt looks.

I purchased this notebook in September, I wanted to wait a while before writing my review. Now I’m not going to regale you with all the technical stuff, there are others that have already done that very astutely. What I will say is that this is one of the best tech gadgets that I have ever perchased. So far I have had no problems at all. I brought the Logitech VX Nano Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks (Black) as I am not very adapt at using a touch pad. I also brought the NU Slim USB External SuperMulti Drive DVD Burner ESW860 so that I could back up my hard drive and add any programes to the notebook. My main reason for buying this notebook was to be able to play Solitaire, Scrabble, Yahtzee and surf the net while watching TV the Acer One fits the bill.

Purchased to fullfill a niche, which it did very very well, although I upgraded the battery to a 12 cell, the RAM to 2GM, and the operating system to XP Pro, now I use it almost exclusively finding it to perform better than my expectations.

Awesome little workhorse of a netbook and still going strong after 15 months of daily use. The light weight and small size is great for taking it everywhere I go. When I need more display room for my work, it’s a snap to connect the Aspire One to a large size monitor using the VGA port. Quiet fan and cool running, long lasting battery. Keep the temp files and reg clean and it will continue to run as fast as the first day it booted up. The price has dropped and I’ll be buying more Aspire Ones for my home network.

I purchased this netbook for my 13 year old daughter. She had the machine up and running within 15 minutes after she opened it and that includes the time to download her “necessary” programs - AIM, Facebook, My Space. The machine is perfect for what she uses it for. My only complaint would be the battery life - she said she gets around 2.5 hours between charges.

A laptop that has just been put on the market, the Aspire One. This new laptop computer really is, the waves in the computer world of today. Acer's hoping the highly competitive netbook market against laptops, such as dominate the HP 2133 Mini Note PC and the ASUS Eee PC.

The company had the idea to keep the laptop capable of online whenever it is in an area with Wi-Fi. So long as there is a signal in the area, you're computergoing to pick it up and you will be able to go online. Of the large size of the computer to love the colors and even the great operating system, this is a very good computer that you are sure to be.
