I was looking for something simple, a lightweight word processor with a standard-sized keyboard and modest sized screen. For this price this has worked out perfectly for me. I’m mildly annoyed by the touchpad’s sensitivity, but otherwise it’s done everything I’ve asked of it. Would buy again and recommend to friends.

Wow, I’ve had this machine since March. It’s really great! I can’t believe how handy it is, it boots in no time for a quick search or a quick email send or read. My kids always seem to have it instead of their 15″ laptops. I got used to the smaller display pretty quick and I have no problem with the keyboard I can’t type anyway. MS office works great looking at photos and videos-no problem. The battery never seems to die, isn’t that what a “portable computer” is supposed to do? We take it everywhere when we travel. I’ve recommended it to my friends who are looking for a netbook (they’re not ready to buy). XP home is great and it’s a full version, even with 1 gig of memory it flies and the wireless-n, the internet is fast. What else can I say it’s an awesome computer in a small package. I typed this review outside in the sunshine and display is really bright enough to see what I’m doing. Yeah it’s a fingerprint magnet, so what, so is my refridgerator. Hope this review helped.

this little guy is great. i got it in white with a 6 cell battery for about 0. i have it for about 8 months and i literally use it every day. yes i did have to buy a cd burner to attach but that was only about . this netbook does everything i need and its so portable. i like it better than my previouse full sized hp laptop. very very happy with my acer aspire one.

I really like this netbook. After doing some informative research, including reading the reviews of the other netbooks on Amazon.com, I decided to purchase this netbook because it met the specifications I needed. I use the netbook mostly for keep meeting and class notes. With the long life battery this netbook is perfect for travel and for taking to the classroom. It is lightweight, compact and easy to use. Although the storage on the hard drive is limited in comparison to larger computers, I use a flash drive for storage of large documents. And though the netbook is smaller, I did not find its smaller keyboard to be a problem or awkward. The programs that come installed are quick and responsive - including access to the internet,a suite of Microsoft programs,and email. When first using the netbook, the programs that come with it give step-by-step application instructions which makes this netbook even more user friendly than some of the other computers I have used. I can not comment on its use for games since this is not what I got the netbook for, but for my needs, it has not disapointed me.

By the way, is updated on most modern PC's currently on the Web. The 3-Volt battery will last only the time when the PC is turned off. This is useful because the motherboard is not very Clockaccurate, easy to lose a few minutes per day.

I purchased this netbook in advance of going to a professional conference one month ago and I’m thrilled with its performance. The battery lasts nearly as long as they say (somewhere between 7-8 hours) although less long depending on what applications you are running. The keyboard is quite large enough for easy touch-typing, and the machine runs quietly. It is sufficiently slim that you can put it in a largish handbag and take it just about anywhere.

When I bought this product, I knew I would be putting Windows7 on it. I think its perfect for what it was designed for, which is surfing the net, email and total portability. All of which it does with stunning perfection. The only thing I wish it had was a slightly better graphic accelerator. It plays video well and thats exactly what I expected. I did purchase a larger battery first off. Now I can easily get 9+ hours out of it without recharging. Its small, lite, bright screen (which is slightly larger than most) large hard drive and 2gigs of ram. The multi-card slot and 3usb ports really make it handy. For anyone that has need for total portability and reasonably powerful computing, this is the machine for you. It should serve well students, teachers, professional on the go and those that just want to sit at the local internet cafe and drink there latte while “facebooking” or “twittering” which seems to be the fastest growing application for this type of machine. Buy it, you’ll love it. P.S. I already have “Windows 7″ on the way. I cant wait to see the much anticipated improvements that this (according to all in the know) will don my machine with.
