The wireless equipment market is still developing and growing. Not long ago, only companies and businesses were using wireless networks. Now there are thousands of free WI-FI spots across the country, in restaurants, hotels, universities, bars, parking lots and shopping centers so that you can access the Internet from anywhere in these areas. Recently laptops include wireless capabilities as standard with them in a wireless setup has to be very simple and accessible. However, older models do not have Wi-Fi capabilities, and if you want to use an older laptop into a wireless LAN, you need to buy a PCMCIA wireless card. They are add-on cards that you insert in your laptop's expansion slot to add it to Wi-Fi support.
