At the moment I have a USB broadband modem. I bought a wireless router has an Ethernet connection. Currently, the modem is plugged into my computer on the ground floor, which is running Windows 98, so there is no bridge over the links above to my computer (XP). I can not upgrade to XP because a family member to maintain "risk".
Can I change the USB broadband modem to my wireless router with a complicated selection of cable adapters ie ethernet to USB (I cannot find a USB to EthernetAdapter). If this is not possible if I plug the USB modem into my XP computer, I can bridge the connections to my Win 98 computer with the XP machine as a host?
